Project Type: Master's thesis research + design project
Focus: This thesis research revolves around patient perceived sense of control and well-being within inpatient behavioral healthcare facilities and how design can support patient treatment and quality of life during treatment.
Goal: Repurpose and abandoned portion of a mall into a secure, restorative, and patient-focused inpatient behavioral healthcare facility based on thesis research.
Scope: Approximately 250,000 sf
Programs: Revit, Adobe Creative Suite
Duration: 2 years for entire research project + thesis; 28 weeks of design work
